Our Objectives
The Principle objectives of the Bhutan Innovative Community are to:
1. Provide technical support to local communities to develop projects and programs that enhance the communities
2. Provide training to new undergraduate students by providing internships.
3. Improve the availability, quality and proper use of information and enhance efficiency and effectiveness in community progress
4. Provide timely, reliable and comprehensive information and knowledge services to the communities
5. Analyze and research the current scenarios to promote Gross National happiness
6. Provide robust scientific information to enhance environmental and cultural conservation
7. Training local communities and provide assistance in managing sustainable progress within their own communities
8. Develop working partnerships with all relevant stakeholders, including government, donors, international NGOs, private sector and local communities.
